Out with the old, in with the new.

Wow, what a year. It’s hard to believe that 2010 is already coming to a close. It feels like I was just celebrating a new year 11 months ago. …Oh wait.

2010 was an interesting year to say the least. Some interesting tours, and interesting times both at home and on the road. I met a lot of awesome people, went to some amazing places and saw some great things along the way. The year had it’s ups and downs as always, but I am very happy to be ending the year on such a positive note.

2010 was a year of change and forward progress for me. One of the biggest changes for me was the ending of a 2 year relationship, and the beginning of a hopefully life long relationship. It was an unexpected change, but at the end of the day, it turned out to be quite the positive and much needed change in my life. Eva has given the word “relationship” a new meaning to me, and I couldn’t be happier with her.

The forward progress comes from the career aspect of my life. I feel like I’ve not only bettered myself as an engineer, but that I’ve continued to challenge myself and think outside of the box along the way. My skills are in demand, and I find myself having to turn down work more so now than ever before in my life. I’ve learned a lot this year, and it would have never happened without a few key people that have helped me since day one.

I saw more of the world this year than I’ve seen in my whole life. Headlining the UK Kerrang tour in January,  Playing Soundwave festival in Australia, Coheadlining the Bamboozle Roadshow, Hawaii, Summersonic Festival in Japan, Jakarta, all the European festivals with Blink 182, Reading and Leeds and the MSP tour. So many good memories from so many different places around the world. Everyday I am grateful for the opportunities All Time Low has given me over the years, and I can only hope that the band continues to grow over the coming years.

2011 looks to be a promising year already. Brazil in January, headlining Europe/UK dates and a big USA tour in the spring. It’s going to be a busy year, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

My new years resolution is to live my life to it’s fullest. I feel like I missed out on some things in the beginning of 2010, and I don’t want it to happen again. I’m going to take advantage of every opportunity given to me, make as many new friends as I can, reconnect with old friends, see the world, and most importantly, enjoy every minute of my life.

I wish you all the best of luck in 2011. Don’t let anything, or anyone stop you from living your life to it’s fullest.
